Torrential Rain Brings Flash Flooding to Izmir

Torrential rain brought flash flooding to Izmir, Turkey, on the night of February 1-2, causing traffic disruption, and leaving many roads blocked.

Mayor Tunc Soyer described the situation a disaster, advising locals to leave their homes only if necessary.
