Toronto Battered by Hail as Powerful Storms Sweep Ontario

Hail, rain, and driving winds hammered parts of the Greater Toronto Area on Thursday afternoon, June 16, downing trees and damaging power lines as dangerous and fast-moving storms swept over Ontario.

Environment Canada had warned that the storms could produce wind gusts with speeds of over 55 mph (90 km/h) in eastern Ontario.
