Tornado Ground Scar Stretches Across Missouri Fields

Tornado ground scar was visible across fields in Caruthersville, Missouri, on December 12, after a twister tracked through the area on December 10, leaving destruction in its wake.

Images taken by Tab Wildy, who’s based in Manila, Arkansas, show the indented fields. Other images also show destroyed factories and stores in Leachville, Arkansas, that was destroyed. Wildy told Storyful he flew all the way Mayfield, Kentucky, to see the destruction there.

At least 74 people were killed when a line of tornados tore through Kentucky late on Friday evening into Saturday morning. Gov Andy Beshear said at least four fully formed tornados were identified, one of which stayed on the ground for at least 200 miles.
