Tom Schwartz has "rebranded" his current living situation.

The Vanderpump Rules star shares with PEOPLE that he’s reached a “turning point” following his divorce from costar Katie Maloney.

The 40-year-old TV personality is ready to welcome guests over to his current apartment. “I think I wouldn't be ashamed to bring someone in there anymore," he says.

Schwartz's setup looks a little different from what Vanderpump Rules fans saw during the latest season. “My TV in the living room is no longer on the floor. I have a nightstand or a chic TV stand," he adds. “It's still giving midlife crisis post-divorce vibes, but it's a lot cozier in there.”

“It's no longer the depression chamber. I've rebranded,” he says, reiterating how his current apartment has hit a “major rebrand.”

As for whether or not this is his forever home, the Winter House star confirms his current living situation is temporary.

“It's now my $4,000 a month storage unit that I'm temporarily living in until I either buy a new house or get a new apartment," he says. "So that's how I look at it now, and I'm grateful to have a roof over my head.”

Shortly afterward, Maloney shared during an episode of her podcastYou're Gonna Love Me that she and Schwartz were still living together in their house after making the decision to end their relationship.

However, the former couple have since sold their Los Angeles home and begun living in their own apartments.

In June 2022, Maloney said an emotional goodbye to her "dream home," explaining on her podcast that she couldn't afford to stay in the house given its hefty mortgage, maintenance and property taxes on her own.

Maloney shared her goodbyes via an Instagram post with a photo of herself sitting alone in an empty room.

“I hate goodbyes. And this one hurts a lot. The emotions and words are hard to pin down. Closing this chapter on my life feels like attending my own funeral," she captioned the post. "But I'm very much alive.”
