Tom Holland Shares First Look at ‘Uncharted’ Film Adaptation

“Spider-Man” star Tom Holland has shared the first look at his next action adventure film “Uncharted” from Sony Pictures.

Based on the popular PlayStation video game franchise, Holland will play Nathan Drake, a young, globe-trotting treasure hunter styled in the vein of Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones.

On Thursday morning, Holland shared the first official photo of himself, complete with Drake’s khaki outfit, gun holsters and ring necklace.

“It’s nice to meet you, I’m Nate #Uncharted,” Holland posted on Instagram.

The cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle and Sophia Ali. It will be helmed by “Venom” director Ruben Fleischer and written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway. Producers include Charles Roven and Alex Gartner for Atlas Entertainment, Avi Arad for Arad Productions and executive producers Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan from Playstation Productions.

Nolan North, the actor who provides the voice and character model for Drake in the video games, shared a photo with Holland taken on a set vist.

“Like looking into a mirror. Proud to have @TomHolland1996 continuing the Drake legacy! Absolutely smashing it!” North wrote on Twitter.

The “Uncharted” adaptation has had a long road to the big screen, full of delays and a revolving door of directors. Like most film and TV projects this year, it temporarily shut down production due to the coronavirus pandemic. Sony also pushed its release date back seven months to Oct. 8, 2021.
