Tina Knowles takes her role as a grandmother extremely seriously.

As apart of Glamour's Women of the Year issue published on Thursday, Oct. 3, the mom of Beyoncé and Solange, 70, opened up about how it feels to see comments about her children in the media. When it comes to her daughters, Knowles said, "I take it with a grain of salt most of the time."

However, it's a different story with her grandkids, including Beyoncé's young children, daughter Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, 7. "You mess with my grandchildren, though, I’m coming," the proud grandma said. "Because they’re minors, and they didn’t ask to be in this."

She admitted that there have been multiple instances in which she has given into online trolls and replied. "I have gotten on and let people have a piece of my mind several times," she said. "But I take a lot, and then there’s certain things that I just have to draw the line on."

Knowles isn't always this serious, though. In fact, when she spends time with her grandchildren, she said, "I become a kid."

She also shared that hanging with her grandkids is "the best," adding, "I’m headed straight on a plane when I leave here to go spend time with my grandchildren."

"I was in the Hamptons with them, and I mean, I swung on a swing every day and swam and had fun. It’s like being a kid again," she continued.

Knowles also touched on why being a grandparent is less stressful than being a parent. "I’m not as stressed out about how they’re going to turn out," she explained. "I don’t have that responsibility."

She added, "So I can buy all the noisy toys that get on their parents’ nerves and do things that I didn’t get to do with my kids. It’s the best."
