Tin Kai Man takes over Liu Kai Chi's movie project
15 Apr – Actor-producer Tin Kai Man recently revealed that he has been entrusted to take over the work for late actor Liu Kai Chi, who was working on a film prior to his passing.
As reported on Mingpao, Tin, who also serves as the producer of Liu's aforementioned project, "Fantasy Life" (working title), shared that the script is currently being revised and that filming will tentatively start in June.
As for the actors for the said movie, the actor stated that they have already cast several of them, but that the ones Liu intended for the project might not be cast.
"Since the script had been adjusted and it is different from the original, it was necessary to change the characters. The character that he would have played is also being replaced by another senior actor. As for the younger protagonist, it would not be anyone unknown," he said.
Tin added that he will also hire Liu's students to work behind the scenes, stressing that they will be given priority.
Liu Kai Chi passed away last month soon after confirming news that he was battling stomach cancer since last year. He was 66.
