Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning Share a Laugh Together on Set of Bob Dylan Biopic
The pair are playing Dylan and his love interest, Sylvie Russo, respectively, in 'A Complete Unknown'
Timothée Chalamet and Elle Fanning are getting into character.
The pair were spotted in Paterson, New Jersey, on Tuesday, April 9, as they shared a laugh on set of the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, titled A Complete Unknown.
Chalamet, 28, will portray the "Like a Rolling Stone" singer, while Elle — who also celebrated her 26th birthday on Tuesday — takes on the role of Dylan's love interest in the film, Sylvie Russo, who is rumored to be inspired by Dylan's late ex Suze Rotolo.
Other cast members in the James Mangold-directed film include Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash, Rolling Stone previously reported.
Additionally, Edward Norton plays folk singer Pete Seeger, replacing Benedict Cumberbatch, who stepped away due to scheduling conflicts.

Originally titled Going Electric, the musical film — in which Chalamet will sing some of Dylan's biggest hits — will reportedly focus on Dylan's controversial transition to the electric guitar in the '60s and his road to becoming a folk-music legend, per Deadline.
Set in the Big Apple, A Complete Unknown is said to follow Chalamet as a 19-year-old Dylan rising to fame in the folk-music scene and eventually securing a record deal with Columbia Records.
The actor’s vocal coach Eric Vetro, who also worked with him on Wonka, previously told PEOPLE that fans will be amazed by Chalamet’s vocal talent.
"It's kind of astonishing because going from the Wonka character to Bob Dylan, it's a completely different character, completely different voice, everything — and he does it," detailed the vocal coach. "He could turn on a dime. He's so talented that he is able to just switch into one role or the other really quickly."
"It's like what Renée Zellweger did with Judy Garland," added Vetro, who worked with Zellweger, 54, on 2019's Judy and received a shoutout during her speech after she won the Best Actress Academy Award for the role.
Elle's 26th birthday, meanwhile, was full of celebratory messages, including one from big sister and fellow actress Dakota Fanning.
"The best thing that has ever happened to me is being given Elle as my sister. 26 today," Dakota, 30, wrote in a caption to her Instagram tribute. "With every passing year, my gratitude for her deepens, even when it feels like that couldn’t be possible. She is magic, and I’m so lucky that she is mine."
"Thank you for always indulging me when I tell you how hungry I am, and then list the 72 things I’ve eaten that day," she added in the caption. "I love you so much @ellefanning!"
The birthday gal also shared a video of herself blowing out candles on her birthday cake, surrounding by cheering loved ones.
"🍓26 is already feeling good🍓," Elle wrote alongside the footage.
