Timelapse Video Shows Smoke Spreading From Mosquito Fire in Northern California

Smoke from the 14,250-acre Mosquito fire, burning in Northern California’s Placer County, could be seen filling the sky on Thursday, September 8.

Footage filmed in El Dorado Hills by Twitter user Steven Pinney shows smoke from the fire billowing skyward.

Cal Fire said on September 8 that evacuation orders were put in place for Todd Valley. They also said that the fire was zero percent contained, and 3,666 structures were threatened. Credit: Steven Pinney via Storyful
