Timelapse Shows 'Black Lives Matter' Mural Being Painted in Seattle's Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone

Protesters near the abandoned Seattle Police Department East Precinct painted a huge “Black Lives Matter” street mural on Thursday, June 10, as continued anti-racism demonstrations unfolded across the US and around the world.

Demonstrators settled in what they called the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone, or CHAZ, with the intention of protesting peacefully, according to local reports.

The words run for a full city block from 10th to 11th on East Pine Street, local reports said.

President Donald Trump tweeted on Thursday morning that the protesters had “taken over Seattle.” Credit: @kris_w94 via Storyful
