The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for the fourth day in a row for southern Utah on July 27 as heavy rain moved through the area.
Bret Berger captured this timelapse footage showing about 40 minutes of rainfall over the Virgin River Gorge area, near St George, Utah.
The footage shows a cloud dumping water as it moved over the area. The National Weather Service warned of an increased risk of flash flooding and encouraged visitors to Utah’s National Parks to check visitor centers or ranger stations before heading out and advised them to have a plan should threatening weather approach.
