Windsor's unseasonably mild temperatures this week have surpassed records that go back to the early 1900s.

Environment Canada meteorologist Peter Kimbell said the temperature record for Feb. 8 in Windsor was 13.9 C, set in 1925. Thursday surpassed that high, reaching 14.3 C.

For Feb. 9, the record was set in 1900 at 16.1 C. As of 3 p.m., Environment Canada's website shows the temperature at Windsor International Airport was 16.2 C.

However, the spring-like weather isn't expected to stick around.

While there's a high of 12 C in the forecast for Saturday, Sunday's high is back down to 3 C, and single-digit temperatures are expected until Thursday.
