Thunderstorms Produce Flooding Across Portions of Arizona

Thunderstorms moved across areas of Arizona on October 5, bringing hail, heavy showers, and flooding.

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued severe thunderstorm warnings for several counties in Arizona, as well as flash flood warnings for portions of Maricopa and Pinal. Clearing skies from north to south would increase the risk for severe weather later in the afternoon, the NWS reported.
