Thunderous Rockslide Crashes Down Cliff Near Zion National Park

A local resident of Virgin, Utah, captured an impressive rockslide on camera near Zion National Park on May 12.

Amber Bishop, who recorded the video, told Storyful that she and her father saw two rockslides that day while driving up to their ranch.

“We saw all this black dirt coming from the top of the mountain, and we knew another slide was about to happen,” Bishop told Storyful.

In March, local news reported that Zion National Park crews were “working to repair road damage after rockfalls” closed several roads near the park. Credit: Amber Bishop via Storyful
