Three civilians die attempting to disassemble a stray drone in Kherson Oblast


Three men were killed during a misguided attempt to dismantle a fallen FPV drone in Kherson Oblast, regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin reported via Telegram on March 18.

The men, aged 45, 55, and 67, found the UAV in their yard and attempted to disassemble it. At some point in the process, the attached ordnance detonated.

They were gravely injured by the blast and died from their wounds en route to a local hospital.

The governor has urged the public to maintain caution when dealing with suspicious objects and avoid interacting with them altogether, leaving the task to emergency services and the police.
