Thousands Watch Paris Turn on Christmas Lights, a Year After Pandemic Canceled in-Person Ceremony

Thousands of spectators descended on Paris’s Champs-Elysees on November 21, as Christmas lights adorning 400 trees along the iconic avenue were switched on.

Le Parisien reported that last year’s lighting ceremony took place without an audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
