Thousands Left Stranded by Floods in New South Wales

The Central West region of New South Wales (NSW) faced severe flooding on Monday, November 14, leaving “thousands” stranded, local media reported.

Nearly 90 mm of rain fell near Eugowra and Molong, where residents were cut off by flash flooding.

The NSW State Emergency Service responded to more than 220 flood rescues in 24 hours, they said, with more than 60 rescued by helicopter from rooftops and trees.
