Thirsty Elk Drinks From Sprinkler at Yellowstone National Park

A clever elk quenched its thirst by taking a drink from a sprinkler at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming recently.

Footage posted to Facebook on August 2 by Cindy Shaffer, a Montana native who regularly posts footage from visits to Yellowstone National Park and the nearby Grand Tetons National Park, shows the animal helping itself to a refreshing sip of water.

Shaffer said in the video caption that she spotted the elk outside of the Mammoth Cabins guest accommodation. “So cute,” she wrote. Credit: Cindy Shaffer via Storyful
