Third Russian faces charges over the Salisbury poisonings

A third Russian nationalist faces charges of attempted murder over the Salisbury poisonings. Police say Denis Sergeev - who used the alias Sergey Fedotov is wanted for trying to kill former Russian spy Sergei Skripal, his daughter Yulia and ex-police officer Nick Bailey who was investigating the case. In 2018 police charged Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov who were accused of traveling to UK for the poisoning operation. Officials believe the 3 men are all members of GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency. Sergei and Yulia Skripal were targeted in a nerve agent attack in 2018 in Salisbury when the content was smeared on the door handle of his home. They were both found unconscious on a park bench in the city. The Skripals and Bailey survived but it claimed the life of British woman Dawn Sturgess.
