Since its debut on ABC's "Shark Tank" back in 2017, The Comfy has taken the internet by storm. Barbara Corcoran, the real estate mogul investor who won The Comfy's bid on the show, has even said it's her "most successful company...everyone seems to want one."

What is it?

The Comfy is a wearable blanket designed to keep you warm and cozy long after you've left your bed. Its extra-large, one-size-fits-all design features a massive hood and pockets to keep you bundled up while camping or lounging on the couch.

Its plush fluffy sherpa material is machine-washable so that you can indulge in the midnight munchies without the fear of stains or spillage. The Comfy is available in nine colours, including actress Shay Mitchell's blush pink, dark charcoal, and navy blue. The Comfy's kid range also makes it an excellent gift for little ones who want to keep snuggled up on the go.

What people are saying

As further proof that people are happiest when snuggled up, The Comfy has racked up more than 23,000 five-star reviews on Amazon.

"The name doesn't lie, it's maybe a little too comfy," one reviewer said. "Since acquiring my Comfy I have lost my job, house, and wife. It was just so comfy that once I put it on, it hasn't come off, and I haven't come off the couch. I highly recommend this to everyone, 'if you ain't living in comfort you ain't really living at all.' Jay-Z once said that, and it's true."

"How have I lived almost 40 years without this in my life," another added. "It feels like you're being hugged by a soft, warm cloud. Soooooo comforting, cozy and warm. I wish I could buy one for everyone I know. The only downside is it will take away your ambition to do anything. Once you put on this blanket shirt, you will be glued to the couch."

"This is unbelievably comfy and I am never taking it off.... I will be getting married in this and giving birth in it and dying in it and will be buried in it as well," raved another shopper. "Everyone needs one of these, absolutely perfect level of warmth and softness for Netflix binges or basically any occasion."

Though the reviews largely lean positive, some shoppers warn of cheap, knockoff sellers. "Make sure it's sold by The Comfy," writes one user. "I loved my first Comfy, but when I bought a second one for my family member, it was a fake! Super cheap material and so small. It doesn't even have the 'The Comfy' logo on it. Not worth it. If you are buying this product, make sure it says sold by The Comfy."

"I have an adult The Comfy, and the picture is of the child's knockoff over mine so you can see the difference," cautions another user. "This is a cheap material. The lining is not Sherpa. There is no logo on the pocket, and there is no manufacturer tag on the inside [...] DO NOT BUY; it's a cheap knockoff and a total waste of money."

With more than 23,000 five-star reviews singing its praises, The Comfy is a safe bet for holiday and birthday gifts or as something special to buy yourself. However, shoppers note that you should double-check the seller of The Comfy, as there are several knockoff retailers to be wary of.
