BANGKOK, Jan 2 (Bernama) –Prime Minister, General Prayuth Chan o-cha said he is not bothered by the latest development of the opposition’s plan to launch a no-confidence motion against him and another four Cabinet ministers this month.

“I am not worried at all (no-confidence debate). We will answer them (opposition). They have to listen and not just raise questions without listening to the answers.

“The people should also listen to our answers,” he said after chairing a cabinet meeting here today.

The opposition plans to launch a no-confidence motion against Prayuth and four other cabinet ministers – believed to be Deputy Prime Ministers, Somkid Jatusripaitak and Wissanu krea-ngam, Foreign Minister, Don Pramudwinai and Minister of Interior, Gen Anupong Paojinda.

However, Chief Opposition Whip and Pheu Thai Member of Parliament  for Maha Sarakham, Suthin Khlangsaeng have yet to officially announce the names.

It is believed Suthin will file a  no-confidence motion on January 13 after the 2020 Budget debate, which is scheduled for January 8 to 10. The debate is expected to be held on Jan 25.

In November, Suthin said the debate would focus on corruption and government’s incompetence which he claimed has damaged the country’s credibility.

The opposition which has 242 MPs has little chance of winning the parliamentary vote in the 500-member House of Representative.
