KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 — A Thai man who ate raw beef consistently for more than two years found a two-meter tapeworm sticking out of his sphincter following a visit to the toilet.

The unidentified man had taken to TikTok to warn others of the condition if they liked to eat soi ju (raw beef) or raw food.

Using the handle @Tex2499, the man showed the two meter thin tapeworm writhing slowly along his bathroom floor while using a tweezer to lift the parasite, Coconuts Bangkok reported.

The man said the ringworm was discharged after he took deworming pills when he felt sick.

The anomalous anal entozoon excreted itself the next day.

Responding to comments, the man said he had experienced abdominal pains and heavy diarrhoea prior to taking the deworming pills.

Soi ju is a popular delicacy in northeastern Thailand.

It is raw beef that is cut into tiny pieces and dipped in spicy sauce.

As it is uncooked and unseasoned, it poses health risks such as parasites which can cause bile duct cancer.
