Texas Gas Station Damaged in Face of Hurricane Nicholas

Hurricane Nicholas made landfall in Texas early on September 14, bringing maximum sustained winds of 75 mph and a “dangerous” storm surge.

This footage, posted by Andrew Dubya, was shot in Matagorda late on September 13, shortly before Nicholas made landfall. It shows a gas station canopy collapsing in strong winds.

The National Weather Service warned the hurricane would cause “heavy rain, high winds and a dangerous surge" on the Texas coast.
