Texas Chainsaw Massacre has hit a huge hurdle within its first week of filming.
Northern Irish directing duo Andy and Ryan Tohill (The Dig) took up the directing torch from Tobe Hooper when filming on the project began earlier this month.
However, Deadline reports the pair are no longer attached to direct following creative differences with the film's financier Legendary Pictures.
The movie will now be directed by David Blue Garcia, with the footage the Tohills shot being scrapped and re-filmed.
Production will be shut down for a week to accommodate all the changes, before returning to shoot in Bulgaria when it resumes.
The decision to part ways with the Tohills is reported to be on the end of Legendary Pictures, who were concerned about the footage they saw, although no official comment has been given by either party.
Last week, Andy Tohill tweeted to commemorate what has become known as 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre Day' – so it seems things went downhill rather quickly.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre will star Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner) and Moe Dunford (Vikings).
Don't Breathe director Fred Alvarez will oversee the project as a producer.
