10 Jan – Despite previous reports that he is set to work with Nick Cheung in the actor's upcoming directorial effort, Terrance Lau recently revealed that nothing has been confirmed just yet.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who spoke to the media recently, stated that he is currently in the communication stage with the said Hong Kong star.
"Nick stated that he has a movie in the works, and as far as I know, the character I may be playing doesn't have any action scene, so it could be a dramatic movie," he said.
However, Terrance stated that he would love an opportunity to work with the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA) Best Actor, as he grew up watching Nick's movies.
"I hope to learn from him by working together," he added.
Asked if there is any pressure from the thought of working with Nick, Terrance stated that the actor has been very kind to him following their communications.
"He treats me like a friend, so there is no pressure. But the film subject would be rather serious, so it is no laughing matter," he said.
One of the rising stars in Hong Kong at the moment, Terrance's most recent film is "Anita", where he portrays the beloved Hong Kong star Leslie Cheung.
