‘Tell Me Lies’ Cast and Character Guide: Who’s Who in Hulu’s Steamy Drama?

“Tell Me Lies” Season 2 has finally arrived, welcoming back fan favorites as well as new additions to the cast.

Grace Van Patten and Jackson White return as Lucy and Stephen, respectively, who reunite at college as exes following their dramatic breakup at the beginning of summer. The exes have to deal with not only the fallout of their split, but also the ripple effects that Season 1’s dramatics had on their friend group.

Season 2 will also welcome in several new faces to the fold, including “Gossip Girl” star Thomas Doherty and “Lucifer” star Tom Ellis.

Grace Van Patten as Lucy Albright

Grace Van Patten returns as Lucy Albright, now a sophomore in college who recently went through a dramatic breakup with Stephen after dating her for most of her freshman year. She is close friends with Bree and Pippa, who also became entangled with Stephen’s friend group of upperclassmen.

With roles in “Under the Silver Lake” and “Maniac,” Patton was a breakout star in “Nine Perfect Strangers,” also on Hulu.

Jackson White as Stephen DeMarco

Jackson White returns as Stephen DeMarco, a senior at Baird who weaves himself into a love triangle  — or maybe even a quadrangle — as he gets involved with Lucy while still balancing a tumultuous relationship with his ex, Diana. By the beginning of Season 2, he is dating Diana and has put his relationship with Lucy in the past, though his sinister secrets from Season 1 are bound to come out at some point.

White’s previous credits include “Mrs. Fletcher,” “Ambulance” and “The Middle.”

Sonia Mena as Pippa

Sonia Mena plays Pippa, a close friend of Lucy and Bree who dated one of Stephen’s friends, Wrigley, in Season 1. She enters Season 2 broken up from Wrigley, with most of the football team hating her after they believe she caused him to have a career-ending injury.

You might have seen Mena before in “Freezerburn,” “Feral” and “Search Party.”

Catherine Missal as Bree

Catherine Missal plays Bree, who is close friends with Lucy and Pippa, though she’s often overshadowed by their antics and struggles to confide in them. She began dating another one of Stephen’s friends, Evan, in Season 1, and enters Season 2 after Evan cheated on her with Lucy at the beginning of summer — a secret she does not yet know.

Missal has had roles in “The Blacklist,” “Vacation” and “Law & Order: SVU.”

Spencer House as Wrigley

Spencer House plays Wrigley, a lovable football player who quickly got swept into a relationship with Pippa before they broke up at the end of Season 1. Wrigley remains injured from his accident last season, and harbors guilt for his brother, Drew’s, unhappiness and tarnished reputation after an anonymous letter was sent to the Dean asking the school to look into Drew’s involvement in Macy’s death.

House broke out in 2019’s “The Society” and has acted in titles like “Space Force” and “Teenage Bounty Hunters.”

Branden Cook as Evan

Branden Cook plays Evan, an upperclassman from a wealthy family who starts a relationship with Bree in Season 1. In a drunken mistake, he hooked up with Lucy in the Season 1 finale, and has yet to tell Bree about what happened.

Cook has had roles in “Chicago P.D.,” “The Lost Boys” and “Industry.”

Alicia Crowder as Diana Linder

Alicia Crowder plays Diana, an ambitious upperclassman who keeps getting dragged back into a toxic relationship with Stephen. Diana pushes Stephen’s relationship with Lucy under the rug and offers Stephen connections to her father’s law firm as she and Stephen pursue a path in law.

Crowder can also be seen in “The Society,” as well as “Instinct.”

Gabriella Pession as Marianne

Gabriella Pession plays Marianne, an English professor at Baird who developed a mentor-like relationship with Lucy, but caught her plagiarizing in Season 1. She is married to Oliver, who has a bit of a wandering eye when it comes to her students.

Pession can be seen in “Those About to Die,” “Station 19,” “The Red Door” and “Crossing Lines.”

Tom Ellis as Oliver

Tom Ellis joins Season 2 as Oliver, Marianne’s husband, who takes a special interest in Bree after a chance meeting.

Ellis is best known for starring in the titular role in “Lucifer,” and can be seen in “Miranda,” “Players” and “Isn’t it Romantic.” He has voice roles in “Exploding Kittens,” “Family Guy” and “The Great North.”

Thomas Doherty as Leo

Thomas Doherty also joins the Season 2 cast as Leo, a student at Baird who had been studying abroad last year. He and Lucy pretty quickly hit it off.

You might have seen Doherty in the Max “Gossip Girl” reboot, the “Descendants” movies, “The Invitation” and “High Fidelity.”

Natalee Linez as Lydia Montgomery

Natalee Linez plays Lydia Montgomery, Lucy’s best friend from home, who we learn in the Season 1 finale eventually becomes engaged to Stephen. She goes to a different school than the main crew.

Linez has been featured in “Siren,” “Power Book III: Raising Kanan” and “Hawaii Five-0.”

Jacob-Rodriguez

Jacob Rodriguez as Chris

Jacob Rodriguez plays Chris, Lydia’s younger brother, who begins his first year at Baird and is quickly introduced to Lucy’s friends.

Rodriguez can be seen in “Attaway General” and will also appear in “Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado.”
