Teddy Sheringham says Manchester United must sack Erik ten Hag
Former Manchester United striker Teddy Sheringham (far left main image) is disappointed with the Red Devils. He believes the team's poor form is reflective of the manager, Erik ten Hag.
Having played under Sir Alex Ferguson, Sheringham said his former boss wouldn't have tolerated some of the bad performances the team has produced this season.
"They need a new manager when the season ends," said Sheringham during a press conference for Saturday's Battle of the Reds at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
"The performance is reflective of the manager. He has to go. It is good the team has a cup final (FA Cup) to look forward but it won't be easy as Manchester City is a strong team."
Another Manchester United legend, Dwight Yorke, is also disappointed with his former team.
Asked if the Manchester United legends could beat the current team, the Trinidad and Tobago player said: "We will beat them in terms of experience and In terms of playing the game. I'm sure we are better players, but they will probably beat us in fitness."
Sheringham agreed with his former teammate, who will join him in the Manchester Reds Legends team, which takes on Liverpool Reds in the Battle of the Reds.

The Liverpool Reds will be represented by David James, Emile Heskey, Glen Johnson, John Arne Riise, Patrick Berger, Vladimir Smicer, Steve McManaman, Jason McAteer, Florent Sinama, John Durnin, David Thompson, Jermain Pennant, Djibril Cisse, Phil Babb and Luis Garcia.
James said it was good to be back in Malaysia and was looking forward to beating his old rivals.
"We will win 4-0 or 4-1," said a confident James, who enjoys a good relationship with his Manchester rivals.
" I love coming to Malaysia. I miss Terengganu, which is my favourite Malaysian team.
" The Legends game is about giving back, and we will go all out on Saturday."
The tournament's organisers have pledged to contribute 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of 376 tickets, each valued at RM108, to support Persatuan WeCareJourney, a local organisation dedicated to supporting those affected by spinal muscular atrophy and other disabilities.
