Ted King is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful!

The actor will reprise his role as criminal defense attorney Jack Finnegan in a guest appearance on Monday, July 1, PEOPLE has confirmed.

In the episode, Jack will have an unexpected run-in with his estranged wife, Dr. Li Finnegan, played by Naomi Matsuda.

King first appeared in the daytime drama in 2021. He has since starred in 37 episodes, according to IMDb. His character was last seen on the show in an episode that aired on June 24, 2023.

The soap opera star, who has also appeared in General Hospital, teased that he was back on set in a June 14 Instagram post, in which he shared a photo of himself in front of signage for The Carol Burnett Show. Both shows are filmed at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.

In another casting development, Deadline reported earlier this month that Crew Morrow, the son of Young and the Restless star Joshua Morrow, will make his acting debut on The Bold and the Beautiful. He will take over the role of Will Spencer in an episode set to air on Aug. 1.

Additionally, Jim Belushi’s daughter Jamison Belushi will join the series as a lab technician named April in a July 17 episode.

Back in April, actor Clint Howard spoke with PEOPLE about his experience returning to the soap opera world in a new role in The Bold and the Beautiful. The television veteran now plays the mysterious homeless man Tom.

Howard described his experience on set as "exhilarating," partially due to the show’s brisk pace of production.

"You're handed a lot of scenes to do and you’d better be prepared," he explained. "I was taught by both my mom and dad, Rance and Jean Howard, since I was a little kid that my primary responsibility is to be prepared to show up to work, even as a very young child. And then knowing that soap operas, it's possible to get handed boatloads of dialogue, and you've got to learn it."

"You've got to understand it," Howard added. "You got to be able to deliver it. You got to be light on your feet."
