Teachers Strike in Lyon Amid Nationwide Protests Over COVID Safety in French Schools

Educators across France marched in protest of inadequate COVID protocols in schools on Thursday, January 13, expressing anger at the government for its confusing and “chaotic” rules.

Federation Syndicale Unitaire (FSU), the main trade union for education in France, called the situation a “health crisis,” while an FSU affiliate said the strikes represented “the growing despair in schools.”
