Taylor Swift Touches Up Lana Del Rey's Hair and Lipstick as They Escape the Rain and Head into 2024 Grammys: Watch!
Bestie goals! Watch the friends' adorable moment in a video captured by PEOPLE
Having a fabulous friend by your side at the Grammys goes a long way.
Friends and collaborators Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey made a head-turning appearance at Crypto.com Arena, dressed in coordinating black and white looks.
However, the musicians — who were both nominated for an outstanding number of categories, including album of the year — arrived late due to the Los Angeles rain, which put a damper on their outfits, but only for a little bit.
In a video captured by PEOPLE, the “Karma” singer, 34, and “Margaret” crooner, 38, enter the venue and compose themselves from the rocky transport.
“Beautiful day for some awards, huh?” Swift jokes before turning back to find Del Rey, who scoffs in the background about her black dress getting wet.
Swift lends Del Rey a helping hand by wiping off her babydoll dress with her black opera gloves, which Swift wore with a white Schiaparelli gown.
“That’s why I got gloves,” the Midnights hitmaker says as she pats down Del Rey’s clothes. “This is fixable, this is fine.”
But before officially entering the ceremony, the two paused for a moment to catch their breath — and to help touch up each other’s hair and makeup because that's what girlfriends are for.
In the clip, Swift helps Del Rey tame her curtain bangs (which the Summertime Sadness artist adorned with a coquette bow).
Then, they went on to a lipstick check. Swift asks if she has any red lipstick smudges on her teeth before lovingly telling Del Rey to adjust hers just a little bit.

The two superstars were clearly there to support each other despite the fact that they were both up for record of the year — Del Rey nominated for Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd and Swift in the running for Midnights, which features “Snow on the Beach,” the track she and Del Rey collaborated on.
Swift ultimately took home the trophy, making her the first artist in Grammys history to win the category four times (her past albums Fearless, 1989 and Folklore have also earned the achievement). But, she didn’t forget to shine light on Del Rey's talent.

The now 14-time Grammy winner brought Del Rey on stage as she accepted her award from global icon Céline Dion, who made a rare appearance in an elegant white gown (styled by Law Roach) amid her diagnosis with incurable neurological disorder, stiff person syndrome (SPS).
In her acceptance speech, Swift also gave Del Rey a warm-hearted shoutout.
"But I think so many female artists would not be where they are and would not have the inspiration they have if it weren't for the work that [Lana has] done. I think she's a legacy artist, a legend in her prime right now. I'm so lucky to know you and to be your friend."
