Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are still going strong.
The ultra-private couple made a rare public appearance together yesterday where they were photographed on a stroll with Alwyn's mother in London. The duo bundled up for the cold weather, with Swift wearing a black oversized wool coat, skinny jeans, and a maroon knit beanie for the low-key outing. Alwyn was also dressed down in a black puffer coat, jeans, and a beanie as well. They also coordinated in matching black Hunter boots and protective face masks for the venture outside. Swift and Alwyn held hands while out and about, marking a rare PDA moment for the reserved pair.
The outing is the first Swift and Alwyn have been photographed together since February 2020, per TMZ. Though they've managed to keep a low profile amid the COVID-19 pandemic, that didn't stop the couple from taking time at home to creatively collaborate. During an interview with Zane Lowe, Swift opened up about writing music with her beau, saying she enjoyed crafting "sad songs" with him, including the tracks "coney island" and "champagne problems" on her latest album, evermore.
"I'll just kind of hear what he's doing and it's exactly, it's all there. All I have to do is dream up some lyrics and come up with some gut-wrenching, heart-shattering story to write with him," explained Swift. "Joe and I really love sad songs. We've always bonded over music...We write the saddest. We just really love sad songs. What can I say?"
