Tavia Yeung expresses thoughts on her first Mother's Day

12 May – Celebrating Mother's Day for the first time as a mother herself, Tavia Yeung recently expressed her love for her own mother on social media on Mother's Day.

On 11 May, the actress posted a throwback photo of her mother caressing her pregnant belly, writing, "When I was a child, I've always liked to stick with my mother, hold her hand, or put my mother's hand on my forehead. My mother would gently stroke my forehead, and then said, "When you grow up, you won't like to stay with your mother anymore. You will pat, hold hands with the boy you like instead and get married. You won't like to hold your mother 's hand."

"I told her, "I won't get married when I grow up, I just want to marry my mother!" Those words have remained in my mind, but today, as I became a mother myself, as my hands are holding the baby, I realised how deeply a mother felt for her children!"

Tavia then stated that no matter what her identity is, she will always be the girl who would hold her mother's hand.

Tavia and husband Him Law welcomed their first child, nicknamed Little Pearl in late April, four years since they tied the knot.
