Tate McRae and The Kid LAROI are confirming their romance online with a little PDA!

After months of romance rumors and multiple public outings, the 20-year-old Australian rapper/singer shared a wholesome Instagram Story dedicated to McRae in honor of her 21st birthday on Monday, July 1.

"happy 21st birthday 🥲❤️," LAROI wrote. "you make me better! I love yoooouuu @tatemcrae."

Alongside the celebratory message, the "Stay" singer uploaded a photo of the pair sharing a kiss in public. In the image, he wore a bandana and white button-down shirt, with his hand on McRae's neck as she moved toward him for a smooch. McRae could be seen in the cute photo wearing a blue dress shirt and a pair of pushed-back sunglasses.

McRae reposted the photo to her own Instagram Story not long after LAROI shared it.

The Instagram hard launch — seemingly the first time the duo have confirmed their romance on the platform — comes nearly seven months after McRae was first seen wearing a shirt that fans suspected belonged to LAROI, and over two months after the "Girls" singer told fans that his "girlfriend" was in attendance at a Dublin show (in which McRae was present).

In between, the duo have been out to dinner in Los Angeles, spent quality time together at the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in Toronto and were spotted at the Fanatics Super Bowl LVIII party with the Biebers.

McRae has also praised LAROI in interviews. On the iHeartRadio Music Awards red carpet on April 1, the "Greedy" singer was asked by Billboard if she'd ever make a song with LAROI. “I don’t know," she said, covering her face. "Yeah, maybe. He’s amazing.”

Earlier this year, McRae also spoke with Zane Lowe about LAROI, calling him "awesome" and describing his relationship with music. "He's so in love with music," she said. "I think that's the thing. His taste is so good. He goes in the studio, and itis just all for the music. I think that's the coolest thing."

"Even talking to him, I really admire him," she added. "I think he's just such an unreal artist."

LAROI spoke with PEOPLE in February around the release of his Prime Video documentary Kids Are Growing Up: A Story About a Kid Named Laroi, when he detailed another relationship in his life: his bond with his brother Austin Howard, a producer who worked with him on his debut album The First Time. The Grammy nominee said their creative bond is "something that brings us together."

“It’s been cool that we can do that," LAROI said of his sibling. "I’m just really proud of him. It’s crazy to watch him. I’m a very honest person, especially when it comes to people in my family. I would tell him if I felt like he sucked, but he doesn’t. He’s incredible. It’s so cool to see him passionate about something.”

LAROI most recently released the music video to his single "Girls" last week, while McRae is currently in the midst of her Think Later World Tour, which runs through November.
