Target Stores Will Be Closed on Thanksgiving This Year

Once November hits, you're likely making multiple trips to Target every month. Whether you're picking up Thanksgiving decorations or trying to stock up on all the can goods you need for your side dishes, desserts, and more, Target is your one-stop shop for pretty much everything you need for Turkey Day. But what about on actual Thanksgiving when you forget that last-minute ingredient or you need a fall candle to perfectly set the mood for your feast? Before you hop in the car on November 25 this year, you need to know ...

... is Target open on Thanksgiving Day 2021?

Target has traditionally been open on Thanksgiving day so guests can get a jump-start on their Black Friday Shopping, but the superstore has now joined the list of major retailers that will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day.

In fact, Target announced its stores would be closed on Thanksgiving Day way back in January. Target's closing last year was so well received, the retailer decided to do it again this year. "The response was so positive that we’ll carry it forward this year, keeping our Target stores closed all day long on Thanksgiving Day. This is just one example of how our evolving strategy is meeting the needs of our business and our guests," a press release reads.

As for Black Friday, stores will be open, but it seems you can score deals all season long at Target vs. just one day, which we're all for, TBH!
