Tanker Ship Runs Aground on Spanish Coast

A Maltese-flagged oil tanker ran aground on the coast near A Coruna in northwestern Spain after being thrown off course by stormy weather on the night of Friday, November 22.

The vessel was heading to A Coruna from Bilbao to pick up fuel and was not carrying cargo.

Burmese, Indian and Ukrainian crew were on board the vessel, La Opinion A Coruna said. No injuries were reported.
