Tampa Bay Lightning Players Celebrate Stanley Cup Win With Flotilla Parade

Hockey players from the Tampa Bay Lightning NHL team celebrated their Stanley Cup win with hometown fans in a flotilla parade down the Hillsborough River in Tampa, Florida, on September 30.

Local news reports said the flotilla made its way to the 65,000-seat Raymond James Stadium, where at least 12,000 people gathered for an official celebration.

The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Dallas Stars 2-0 in the sixth game of a six-game series.

The playoffs were held in the NHL “bubble” in Toronto and Edmonton, where teams and staff were isolated to mitigate COVID-19 infection.
