Tam Ping Man's funeral to be held on the 21st of September
17 Sep – Tam Suk Ying, daughter of the late King of Voice-over Tam Ping Man, recently revealed that she is currently busy planning and arranging matters concerning her father's upcoming funeral.
As reported on Mingpao, Tam, who spoke to the media at the taping of a TV show that paid tribute to her father recently, stated that the memorial service will be held on 21 September, with the funeral to be done on the same day at the Universal Funeral Parlour in Hung Hom.
However, Tam stated that they will not be inviting too many people to pay their respect.
"Since we're in a pandemic, I don't want to call too many people," she added.
She also thanked TV producer Gary Yeung for planning the tribute show, "Old Love Is Like a Dream", and the celebrities and friends - including Li Lai Ha and Kingdom Yuen, who supported and contributed to the show.
"I'm not singing in the show. I should learn how to first. I promised my father that if I had a chance to sing in the future, I would definitely sing all his songs," she added.
Tam Ping Man passed away on the 5th of this month after months of battling lung cancer. He was 86.
