Tam Ping Man left the way he wanted, says daughter
23 Sep – Despite her sadness over the loss, Tam Suk Ying recently stated that she is at least grateful that her father, the late actor Tam Ping Man, passed away in peace.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who spoke to the media at her father's memorial service, shared that Tam had a very simple wish prior to his death, which is to be able to talk and eat before leaving everybody.
"He did it all and died in his sleep. There was no pain of a struggle and losing breath. I think this was his greatest wish," she said.
Tam added that her father had had made a request for a birthday party prior to his passing, which is why she decided to treat the service like a happy event.
"I hope that everybody will laugh and bid farewell to my father, so that he can go happily," she said.
As for herself, the actress stated that her mother is stronger than her when it comes to accepting that he is gone.
"I think that's because I have accompanied my dad on stage for more than 20 years, so it was harder for me. Although it's hard, I have to be strong," she added.
