Takuya Kimura wins Best Actor at Hochi Film Awards

3 Dec – Takuya Kimura was recently awarded Best Actor at the 46th Hochi Film Awards.

The actor, who won for his performance in the movie, "Masquerade Night", expressed his happiness via Instagram Story with a photo of him and his said accolade, writing, "Thank you to all the cast and crew. Thank you everyone."

Takuya bested other worthy contenders including Takeru Satoh ("Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning"), Junichi Okada ("The Fable: The Killer Who Doesn't Kill") and Hidetoshi Nishijima ("Drive My Car").

Based on the novel of the same name by Keigo Higashino, "Masquerade Night" stars Takuya as a detective who must go undercover and work at the Hotel Cortesia Tokyo to investigate a potential murder case at a masquerade party to be held at the said venue.

It co-stars Masami Nagasawa, Yuki Izumisawa, Ren Ishikawa, Tohishide Tonesaku and Fumiyo Kohinata among others.
