Takuya Kimura and Haruka Ayase star in "The Legend & Butterfly"
23 Jun – Takuya Kimura and Haruka Ayase are soon to be seen in the upcoming new Keishi Ohtomo movie, "The Legend & Butterfly".
As reported on Mingpao, the Japanese heartthrob will be portraying yet again the Japanese warrior Oda Nobunaga, the second time after playing the character in 1998 series "Oda Nobunaga: Tenka wo Totta Baka".
Meanwhile, Haruka will play the role of Lady Nohime, the legal wife of the feudal lord who is known for her beauty and cunningness.
"Since the family crest of the Kimura family and the crest of the Oda family are similar, I had a special feeling of familiarity from the start," said Takuya about the said historical icon.
The movie, which was filmed in Kyoto last year, revolves around the married life of Oda Nobunaga and Lady Nohime amid the process of unifying the warring states of Japan prior to his death in 1582.
Haruka and Takuya have starred in several series together, including the 2007 drama, "Hero" and 2009's "Mr. Brain".
The new movie, to be released in January next year, is in commemoration of Toei Company's 70th anniversary.
