Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau returns to Malaysia after five years for concert in September

KUALA LUMPUR, June 7 — Evergreen Taiwanese singer Wakin Chau will be returning to mesmerise his fans here after a five-year hiatus.

The 62-year-old, who broke into the entertainment industry in 1987, is set to perform at the Axiata Arena Bukit Jalil on September 9 at 8pm.

Known for his soulful voice and captivating stage presence, fans attending Chau's concert would be treated to dual themes.

The first part would see him belting popular movie soundtracks sung by him in the 90s but infused with renewed vitality.

The second part would see fans revel in the timeless and beloved melodies they hold dear while Chau introduces fresh interpretations and compositions to these songs.

Attending the concert will be akin to witnessing two extraordinary performances intertwined into one captivating experience that will be music to your ears.

The design of the stage also promises to be seamless and would complement the two distinct parts of the concert, providing visually striking aesthetics that reflect the contrasting themes.

Organised by Star Planet with Live Nation and ACO Media, tickets starting from RM288 for the concert will go on sale on June 16 from 2pm.
