KUALA LUMPUR, March 3 — Due to popular demand, celebrated Taiwanese rocker Wu Bai will add one more day to his Wu Bai and China Blue Rock Star 2023 concert at Arena of Stars, Resorts World Genting (RWG).

This is after tickets for the May 20 event at 8.30pm were quickly snapped up, prompting the additional date on May 19 at 9pm.

The concerts will see Wu appearing with band mates Dean Zavolta on drums, Yu Ta-hao on keyboards and Chu Chien Hui on bass.

Ticket prices remain the same for the new date that are between RM266 and RM786 and it is subjected to RM4 processing fee.

“We were all genuinely surprised by how quickly the tickets sold out. It is wonderful to see that people are eager to see more of the King of Rock,” said Assistant Vice President for Events and Entertainment at RWG, Roger Ong.

“One night is pretty awesome, but two? It’s going to go down as one of the best nights in history for fans of Wu Bai,” he added.

The last time the 55-year-old rocker performed in Malaysia was in 2018.

Wu is known in the Asian music industry for his ability to evoke positive emotions in his audience through heartfelt lyrics and his songs, which he writes, have consistently topped music charts throughout the years.

Besides singing, Wu also dabbled in acting by appearing in Tsui Hark's crime and action thriller, Time and Tide in 2000 and a minor role in 1998 comedy drama The Personals.
