Syura on Siti Nordiana's demand: The RM200k was part of the apology!
3 Aug – Singer Syura Badron recently dismissed the notion that the RM200k she and four others were asked to pay by fellow singer Siti Nordiana (aka Nana) has anything to do with them not apologising for their previous allegations against her.
It was back in July when five individuals - that include singers Syura and Lan Sol - went on Instagram Live where they expressed their frustrations against Nana. Nana thereafter proceeded with a demand for an apology against the five, alleging that they have released and published a slanderous public statement about her that is damaging to her character and reputation.
In an Instagram Story that Syura published recently, the "Nazam Berkasih" singer explained that the RM200,000 was one of the demands made by Nana aside from the apology, which was required of them by the singer in just 24 hours - rather than a demanded amount as part of a lawsuit that will be filed if they refused to apologise to her.
"If we didn't apologise and pay her RM200k, then she will proceed with the lawsuit. I hope everybody understands," she added.
Lan Solo's wife Sheila Razlan also took to social media to explain the lawsuit, echoing Syura's words.
"Regarding the notice of claim, it was a public apology and RM200K in 24 hours. But the one thing that was revealed to the media was the apology, instead of the amount that was asked. We were ready to cooperate. If only that RM1 million is the cost of a friendship," she posted.
