Sydney Sweeney and Fiancé Jonathan Davino Share a Passionate Kiss as She Recaps Her 'Favorite' Last Days of 2024

Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino are ushering in 2025 with a kiss!

Surrounded by friends at what appeared to be a holiday gathering, the couple locked lips in a rare photo of the pair that Sweeney shared to her Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 2, in honor of New Year's.

Other snapshots showed the Immaculate actress, 27, lounging on a watercraft in a bikini, playing a game of limbo with friends, posing for Polaroids during a vintage-glam night out, singing karaoke, rocking a slinky cream-colored dress and more.

"The last few days of 2024 will forever be some of my favorite," Sweeney wrote in her caption.

Sweeney and businessman Davino, 39, have been engaged since 2022, after first sparking dating rumors in 2018.

The actress nodded to keeping her relationship private in 2023, telling Glamour UK that December, "Everyone is always so curious about who I’m with and what’s that like, but I think it’s important to have something for me."

Explained Sweeney, "I’m very open [otherwise]. I talk about so much and sometimes it gets me in trouble, but I do try to keep something for me."

The couple has previously worked together, with Davino joining Sweeney as a producer on her hit 2023 rom-com Anyone but You, in which she and Glen Powell played played love interests.

In a February 2022 cover story for Cosmopolitan, Sweeney said that she strays away from dating people “in the spotlight" on purpose.

"I don't date actors or musicians or anyone in entertainment because I can just be normal Syd that way and it's easiest," she said at the time. "I have a great support system. I have people who will battle for me and allow me to be on the pedestal and shine without making me feel like, 'Oh no, I'm shining too bright and I need to step back.' "

The Euphoria actress added in her interview with Glamour UK that she also keeps her love life out of the spotlight because she recognizes how rare a "steady" relationship can be in Hollywood.

“I’ve been in a steady relationship for a really long time, which is not normal in this industry and not normal for my age,” Sweeney said. “What I’ve noticed about the idea of celebrity is people really love to build someone up, and then tear them down.”
