Sydney Rings in the New Year With Fireworks

Fireworks illuminated the Sydney Harbour Bridge at midnight on January 1 as the city rang in the new year.

Officials closed downtown Sydney to the general public for the display, amid growing coronavirus cases.

This footage was posted to Instagram by @paulie_jay1201, who filmed it from Lavender Bay in Sydney at midnight.
