Tiny Banjo the wombat was feeling very close to his favourite snuggly toy, a stuffed wombat, at animal care group ACT Wildlife.
Wildlife rescuers said Banjo was recovering from mange.
“He is being treated for mange, a horrendous parasitic infestation that causes them to itch and makes their skin break down into crusty dermatitis. The sad irony is that, had he not been orphaned, he would have suffered horribly until dying before reaching adulthood. Now, after his treatment is completed, he can be expected to go on to live a full wombat life.” Credit: ACT Wildlife Australia via Storyful
