A young boy who “absolutely loved his Papa” made his mom emotional with a heartfelt birthday wish to see his late grandfather again.

Video, captured by Brittaney Allen, shows her son Donavan blow out the candles on his birthday cake before wishing that he “could see Papa again.”

Allen, overcome with emotion, drops the camera saying, “Oh my God that’s really sweet.”

“When my son made that birthday wish we cried and cried, tears of grief but also pride,” Allen told Storyful.

“My father-in-law battled Parkinson’s and dementia for years, and my son has his own set of special needs, it was almost like they just got each other,” she said.
