A suspect managed to drive over the hood of a patrol car in an ultimately failed effort to flee officers after being pulled over for dangerous driving early on October 7, Erie Police said.
Police said on Facebook officers observed the suspect’s vehicle driving the wrong way down Parade Street in Erie at around 3:30am, and managed to box the car in on Old French Road.
“The suspect resisted and refused to exit the vehicle,” police said. “The suspect then accelerated towards officers, nearly striking two officers and hit an Erie Police vehicle, ultimately driving over the hood of the vehicle and a guard rail.”
