Suspect arrested in Catholic bishop killing in LA

STORY: According to L.A. County Sheriff, Robert Luna, the suspect identified as Carlos Medina is the husband of the bishop’s housekeeper, who has previously done work at O’Connell’s residence.

O’Connell was found dead in his home on Saturday (February 18).

Police later received a tip off that Medina had made comments about the bishop owing him money. But a possible motive for the crime has not yet been disclosed.

Two firearms were discovered during a search of Medina’s home, but forensic tests are yet to link the guns to O’Connell’s murder.
