Susanna Reid has criticised Prince Harry for filming a "live therapy session" that fans could pay to watch.
Over the weekend, Harry sat down with Dr Gabor Mate to discuss "living with loss" and the "importance of healing" and talked about his experiences in Afghanistan, as part of a promotional event for his book Spare.
On Good Morning Britain, Susanna Reid was talking with her co-host Richard Madeley and guests Kevin Maguire and Andrew Pierce about Harry's latest interview.

Reid criticised it by saying: "It’s a live-streamed therapy session. We were just saying, Andrew [Pierce] and Kevin [Maguire], that the complaint about invasion of privacy becomes weaker and weaker when you allow a livestreamed, ticketed, paid-for event which is about as intimate as you can get discussing your own personal thoughts with a counsellor. Don’t you think?"
The broadcaster then attempted to balance out her statement by saying the interview was to "normalise therapy and for Harry to see himself as someone who’s destigmatising the discussion of mental health".
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have previously refuted claims they stepped back from royal duties to have more privacy.
In a statement released before the premiere of their Netflix documentary, the couple said: "This distorted narrative was intended to trap the couple into silence. In fact, their statement announcing their decision to step back mentions nothing of privacy and reiterates their desire to continue their roles and public duties.
"Any suggestion otherwise speaks to a key point of this series."
They added: "They are choosing to share their story, on their terms, and yet the tabloid media has created an entirely untrue narrative that permeates press coverage and public opinion. The facts are right in front of them."
During the conversation with Mate, Harry revealed that using marijuana "really helped" his mental health.
